How does SASOM define "Brand New" Collectibles?

Updated November 18, 2025

SASOM defines “Brand New” collectibles as follows:

✳ Sealed: Shows no signs of having been opened.

✳ Opened: Flawless and shows no signs of use.

✳ Original box and accessories that may have been included by the manufacturer are required.

✳ Could show some slight manufacturer flaws that are uncontrollable.

Product sealed or opened will be specified in the product equipment.

SASOM continually updates the authentication standards to ensure smooth transactions between trading parties and to establish more balanced authentication criteria. Please refer to the latest authentication standards before proceeding with a transaction.

All products sold or purchased are shipped only after SASOM's professional authentication team has thoroughly checked the product's condition and approved the authenticity.

Precautions regarding Collectibles:

✳ SASOM performs basic quality checks and authentication. However, as an intermediary, SASOM is not responsible for the manufacturer's warranty for each product.

✳ For questions about product functionality or other product-related issues, please contact the manufacturer directly.

✳ For products whose value may decrease when the sealed/sealed package is opened, the contents will not be inspected. A comprehensive inspection is conducted to check product information, box condition, and whether there are any signs of repackaging.

In addition to the criteria outlined by SASOM's authentication standards, products that are not recognized as defective by the manufacturer for the reasons listed below, or products that cannot be clearly identified based on our authentication standards, will not be considered defective. As a result, purchase cancellations will not be allowed for these reasons.

✳ Deformation or replacement of the seal that may occur during distribution and storage.

✳ Matters that may arise due to the manufacturing process, distribution process, or material characteristics.

Regarding ambiguous product conditions, non-specific product conditions, and individual differences due to the manufacturing process of a specific model, the final decision will be made by the authentication center manager.

Note:

✳ If no response is received from the buyer within 24 hours of notification, the product they intend to purchase will automatically be deemed to have passed inspection, and cancellation will not be an option.

✳ In the case of products whose composition is difficult to identify when unopened, the product may be opened.

✳ If it is not sealed when first released, it does not fall under the damage criteria.

✳ In the case of sealed packages, there may be minor openings during storage and distribution. If the product does not pass through the relevant part to the outside, it will be considered passed according to the inspection standards.
